There is no obligation for you to join. You can just come in and have a look around and see whether or not the program is a fit.
You will have an opportunity to meet other new parents, get information about the program in general and specific to our corps, and see what a typical parade night would look like.
Enrollment of Cadets is free and completely voluntary. Enrollment in Cadets is NOT enrollment in the Canadian Forces. Once enrolled, your child will be expected to attend regularly, maintain their uniform and commit themselves to the Corps

HOW TO REGISTER [ONLINE ONLY]
With the Ontario Regiment 2525 Army Cadet Corps
In order for your child to be a member of 2525, [To be eligible for membership as a Cadet one must]
be a legal resident of Canada: NOTE: A legal resident of Canada is a Canadian citizen, a landed immigrant, or, the dependant of a person who is lawfully resident in Canada on a temporary basis for the purpose of education or employment.
be at least 12 years of age and not have attained 19 years of age;
provide proof of provincial health insurance coverage or equivalent;
not belong to another corps or squadron.
If your child meets these requirements we ask that the parent or guardian complete the following process.
Please read the steps below on how to complete the process.
Step 1 – Select the link to join at Join the cadet program
Note: UNIT# should be 2525 PICKERING HIGH SCHOOL, ROYAL CANADIAN ARMY CADET CORPS
Step 2 – Enter the email you would like to Register with
Step 3 – Select Start New Application. You will be emailed a Registration Link, * VALID FOR 2 hours*
Step 4 – Go to your email click on CONTINUE APPLICATION
*Once the application is completed it will be automatically emailed to our unit Administration Team.
Step 5 – Once the application is received, we will email the parent/guardian welcoming them to the cadet program with the next steps.
In addition, we will let you know the date, location, and time to come into the cadet unit.
You will need to bring in two documents.
DOCUMENT # 1 - Proof of Citizenship
* We will make a photocopy and keep the document on file secured
• a valid Canadian passport; OR
• a birth certificate; OR
• a valid resident card; OR
• a valid identification card issued by a Canadian provincial or federal government agency.
DOCUMENT # 2 - Ontario Health Card *We will validate via visual inspection that it match’s the application
Step 6 – The cadets and parents sign a YOUTH CODE OF CONDUCT FORM and parents/cadets are provided with an information package
Step 7 – Cadets are entered into our system and the process is complete.
