2) The Army Cadet Medal of Merit
3) The Lord Strathcona Medal
4) Royal Canadian Legion Medal of excellence.

Army Cadet Medal of Merit
The Army Cadet Medal of Merit is set to shine a spotlight on cadets who go above and beyond during their Silver, Gold, and Advanced Learning levels. This isn’t just an award — it’s a celebration of dedication, growth, and leadership.
In a bold move toward fairness and representation, the medal will be equitably distributed across all of The Army Cadet League of Canada Branches, with allocations reviewed and adjusted each year to reflect cadet populations nationwide.
And at its core, this medal proudly carries forward the enduring legacy of League members and volunteers, whose commitment and passion continue to help shape the future of Canada's youth.

Walsh Bar – Branch’s President’s selection forward as Nomination
Roger Bar - Awarded for outstanding Silver Star Army Cadets who rise above and exemplify the aim and values of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets.
Howard Bar -Awarded for outstanding Gold Star Army Cadets who rise above and exemplify the aim and values of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets.
Top Silver & Gold Star cadets Information Card and Letter of Recommendation are submitted to the Ontario Army Cadet League for consideration. In August 2025 submissions were made and In Ontario 26 Roger medals and 13 Howard medals will be awarded.
The Army Cadet Service Medal
Initial Award to a serving cadet for 4 years continuous honourable service
Additional Years’ Service having completed year
The Lord Strathcona Medal
Award, Royal Canadian Army Cadet - The Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism shall provide for an award to be given each year to a cadet in each local Royal Canadian Army Cadet corps who is selected by their corps for demonstrating exceptional citizenship and volunteerism within their community and their corps. The Commanding Officer will request information from cadets to validate the nomination.

2525 Army Cadets Corps will present a MUG
to Graduating Cadets and be marched off the parade square by the RSM
during the Annual Cadet Review of the Cadet year
The Mug will have the Cadets' Graduating RANK, NAME and YEARS OF SERVICE with the regimental logo.
ELIGIBILITY (Effective SEPTEMBER 2023):
Cadets leaving the cadet program (Aging out/other reasons) who have reached the rank of MWO (Master Warrant Officer) or Higher
Are in attendance for the ACR (Annual Ceremonial Review) of that graduating year
Inform the Commanding Officer 3 months prior to the ACR in that cadet year plans are graduating.
INELIGIBILITY:
Cadets who leave the program mid-year and do not attend the ACR are not eligible at a later timeframe for the Mugging out or March off. There is no backdating to include former Cadets from past years.
